Job Summary
Globe Telly Services is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Junior Video Editor to join its production team. This role is ideal for a candidate with a passion for visual storytelling and experience editing content for television and digital media. The successful candidate will collaborate with reporters, producers, videographers, and senior editors to create engaging, high-quality video content across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form video content, including news reports, interviews, documentaries, and social media videos.
- Add captions, lower thirds, graphics, transitions, sound effects, and background music to enhance video quality.
- Optimize video content for digital platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Facebook.
- Ensure all edited content meets broadcast standards and aligns with the company’s brand guidelines.
- Organize, manage, and archive video footage, project files, and other media assets.
- Select the best visuals, audio clips, and camera angles to deliver compelling stories.
- Collaborate with the production team to meet project deadlines and editorial requirements.
- Review and refine video edits based on feedback from producers and senior editors.
Requirements
- Experience editing video content for television, digital media, or social media platforms.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Good understanding of video storytelling, pacing, and composition.
- Knowledge of motion graphics, captions, and basic audio editing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- A portfolio showcasing previous editing work is an added advantage.
